John is another repeat client who has come to trust my ability to capture his professionalism with a camera.
Like many of my clients, John is not inherently comfortable in front of a camera – a fact compounded by a previous portrait that did not do him justice.
John is a respected financial advisor with a wealth of experience. He is also a true salt-of-the-earth human being and a client I first got to know as part of a networking group that we both belonged to.
It was very important to me that I did John’s good nature and warm character justice in his images. I achieved this by giving good direction and regular feedback. Knowing that the images are looking good is a very reassuring thing and helps to continually lessen the nervousness inherent in a shoot.
A business portrait needs to convey professionalism and approachability, and the choice of the suit and background colour was a calculated decision that added to a sense of “friendly gravitas” that fitted John very well.
Ultimately, John has become a trusted business contact who I regularly touch bases with over lunch or coffee. I don’t believe this would ever have happened if it wasn’t for the sincerity with which I approach my clients.
I am proud to say that I am a repeat client of Rory Laubscher’s of Firefly Photography. Rory is a consummate professional, who cares deeply for his clients and the work that he produces. Rory spends a lot of time getting to know you and what you want to achieve. He treats you with professionalism yet is respectful and understands that the process can be uncomfortable for some. But I suspect this is rarely experienced by any of Rory’s clients as I found the process a very positive outcome and am extremely proud of the work he completed for.
If you’re looking for a very positive, professional experience with outstanding results, go no further than Firefly Photography and experience the difference.
